Sukhu announces ₹300 crore allocation for ambitious education reforms

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has affirmed the government's commitment to enhancing educational facilities for children. Speaking at the "Sarkar Gaon ke Dwar" program in Ladoli, Una, Sukhu announced a budgetary allocation of ₹300 crore to bolster the education sector. He emphasized ongoing reforms aimed at providing quality education to children across the state.
Educational initiatives in every Assembly Constituency
Sukhu highlighted the establishment of Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools in every assembly constituency, ensuring widespread access to education. In the Chintpurni assembly constituency, plans for a new school are underway, with land selection in progress. Construction is expected to commence within a year.

Focus on english-medium curriculum
Starting from the upcoming academic session, the government plans to introduce English-medium curriculum in government schools from the first grade. Sukhu emphasized easing the transition for children aged six and above by admitting them directly to class one, aiming to reduce academic stress.

In addition to educational reforms, Sukhu highlighted the government's commitment to transforming the health sector. Plans include the introduction of robotic surgery and modern medical technology across the state. The chief minister anticipates visible results within the next two years, reflecting the government's dedication to advancing healthcare services in Himachal Pradesh.
