A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his live-in partner's 10-year-old daughter. The accused has eluded capture, and authorities have initiated a manhunt. After the victim's mother made a complaint, an FIR was registered at Moti Nagar police station. According to the sources, the offender has been identified as Vishal Kumar, a Sherpur native.
She first met the accused, who used to work as a driver, about two years ago. They entered a live-in relationship after a mutual agreement.
The accused lost his work a few months ago and began idling away his time at home, leaving the complainant, who is a laborer, to take care of the family.
When she got back on Monday, her daughter informed her that the accused had raped her and threatened her not to tell anyone about it.
When the accused was approached by the woman, he began abusing her and fled the scene.
She filed a police report as a result of this.
Inspector Ravinder Kumar of the Moti Nagar station house officer (SHO) said the accused, who is presently on the run, has been charged with rape under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. According to the SHO, police have initiated a manhunt for him.
A day after filing an FIR, police detained a laborer for allegedly raping and impregnating a 16-year-old girl.
Following a tip-off, the accused Nitish Kumar of Rishi Nagar, who is married, was apprehended.
The culprit was attempting to flee the city to evade arrest, according to Sub-inspector Rajinderpal Singh, station house officer (SHO) of PAU police station.
SHO Rajinderpal said, ‘The victim is eight months pregnant. She lodged a complaint with police on January 10.”
The accused, according to the victim, lives close by. For over a year, the accused had been abusing her and threatening to expose her to others.
