Channi regrets Jan 5 security breach

‘Aap jiyen qayamat tak,’ says Punjab CM Channi

On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi a long life and expressed apologies for the security breach that occurred on January 5.

The CM was addressing during today’s Covid 19 review meeting, which the Prime Minister presided over in a virtual manner with the states and UTs.

Top sources claimed Channi pushed the PM to speed up the start of delayed health infrastructure projects in Punjab, which were unable to be inaugurated on January 5 due to a lapse in the PM’s security, a subject that is not before a Supreme Court-appointed committee.

The CM “regretted the incident on January 5th and the fact that the Prime Minister had to return without devoting big initiatives to the people.” When the PM returned on January 5 after being stalled on a flyover for 15 to 20 minutes, he was set to open medical colleges in Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala, as well as a satellite centre of PGI Chandigarh in Ferozepur.

CM also wished the PM a long life saying, “Aap jiyen qayamat tak aur qayamat naa aaye.”
