Apple Takes Action Against Foxconn's Tamil Nadu Plant In Food Poisoning Case
After a recent outbreak of widespread food poisoning at the Tamil Nadu Sriperumbudur Factory's Offsite Dormitory Facility, Apple supplier Foxconn Technology Group announced today that he was revamping the local management team.
According to an Apple spokeswoman, the Foxconn Sriperumbudur facility has been placed on trial.
Foxconn said in a statement today that all employees will be paid while the necessary changes are made before the business is restarted. When employees returned to work, Foxconn indicated he would continue to support them.
"We also restructured our local management team and management system to ensure that we can reach and maintain the high standards required," Foxconn Technology Group said in a statement.
Meanwhile, an Apple official said the Foxconn facility in Sriperumbudur had been placed on trial and that the company will ensure strict requirements were satisfied before reopening the facility.
