In front of the Uttar Pradesh assembly decisions on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced or laid the foundation stones for 27 development projects totaling Rs 2,095 crore to his Varanasi parliamentary supporters.

In the last ten days, Modi has made two trips to his followers. The Kashi Vishwanath Corridor was inaugurated by him on December 13th. At a UP State Industrial Development Authority food park in Varanasi, he laid the foundation stone for the Banas Dairy Sankul.

He also carefully transferred Rs 35 crore in incentives to the accounts of more than 1.7 lakh milk producers associated with Banas Dairy, and laid the groundwork for the Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant in Ramnagar to build a biogas-based power plant.

To address land ownership concerns at the grassroots, the Prime Minister effectively dispersed country private privileges records known as 'Gharauni' to more over 20 lakh residents of the state under the Swamitva scheme of the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

Various metropolitan improvement projects were also launched by the top state leader, including six for the redevelopment of Old Kashi wards, a stopping and surface park at Beniabag, the beautification of two lakes, a sewage treatment plant in Ramna town, and the provision of cutting-edge reconnaissance cameras at 720 locations under the Smart City Mission.
