The National Testing Agency (NTA) has yet to release the formal notification, according to Partha Halder, the centre head of FIIT JEE Punjabi Bagh in Delhi, and students are unaware how the four attempts will be scheduled.

“The four-attempt provision was only implemented last year, with the first session set in February and all subsequent sessions rescheduled in the aftermath of Covid. “We don’t even know if NTA plans to hold the engineering admission exam in February this year,” Halder remarked. “The third wave of Covid does not provide a favourable environment for the examinations to be completed,” he continued.

Saurabh Kumar, Academics Director of Vidyamandir Classes, also mentioned that JEE Main 2022 would not start in February. “It will most likely be held in March, owing to the deteriorating Covid situation and the upcoming assembly elections.” The majority of tests scheduled before March 10 are likely to be rescheduled. Moreover, the NTA generally issues notices with plenty of time for candidates to apply, yet the agency has yet to open the registration window, “ Kumar added.

Kumar of Vidyamandir Classes, on the other hand, believes that this year’s board exams will be relatively painless for pupils due to the divided syllabus.

“Board exams are expected to be pushed back to April as well. The first half of the syllabus was covered in term one, and the second half of the syllabus will be covered in term two. “It’s also in keeping with competitive tests, which only contain objective questions,” he added.
