Arvind Kejriwal reaches Chandigarh: Victory March at 1:00 pm

Arvind Kejriwal, the president of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi’s chief minister, has arrived in Chandigarh. In Chandigarh, he will lead a “Victory March” to commemorate the victory in the municipal elections. At 1 p.m., the march will begin at the Aroma Light Point in Sector 22 and end in Sector 23. The Aam Aadmi Party is putting its all into a one-kilometer road show. The three-day visit by Kejriwal to Chandigarh and Punjab is associated with the 2022 Punjab Assembly Elections.

The Aam Aadmi Party contested the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections for the first time. In the election for 35 wards, AAP surprised everyone by winning 14 seats. The BJP, which was in power in the corporation, could win only 12 seats. The support of the people towards AAP in the election was such that even the current mayor of the BJP was defeated.

I have come to express my gratitude to the people of Chandigarh. We were declared winners in the first election. We can tell you that, just as Delhi has been nurtured, Chandigarh will be groomed as well, Kejriwal stated. He also said that he would inform people about the mayor soon.
