Mamata claims that the Centre froze Missionaries of Charity's bank accounts; however, the group explains that everything is fine.

After West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Monday that the Centre had frozen all of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity's bank accounts, the group's spokesman stated she was unaware of the claim and that "everything is good." 

"We haven't received any information on this. This is something I am completely unaware of. The Indian government has been silent. Bank transactions are running well. Everything is in order "Sunita Kumar, a spokesman for the Missionaries of Charity, said:

Banerjee expressed surprise at the move, saying it has left Missionaries of Charity's 22,000 patients and employees without food and medicine.

I was astounded to learn that the Union Ministry FROZE ALL BANK ACCOUNTS OF MOTHER TERESA'S MISSIONS OF CHARITY IN INDIA ON CHRISTMAS! She tweeted . 

While the rule of law is vital, Banerjee noted, "humanitarian initiatives must not be jeopardised."
