Previously, the mafia had free reign in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government is now playing prison games with them: Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleges that past governments in Uttar Pradesh permitted the land mafia and criminals full reign.
He remarked that no criminals or mafia can play in UP after laying the foundation stone for Major Dhyan Chand Sport University. Illegal land-grabbing tournaments are held on a regular basis. It will provide youth with international sporting facilities. This university, which is valued Rs 700 crore, will graduate over a thousand boys and girls every year.
He further said that there were land-grabbing contests. "The citizens of Meerut and its environs will never forget how their homes were set ablaze. Because of these sports, people have been compelled to evacuate their homes. "The Yogi government has now turned into a jail-jail for such criminals," he claimed.
The Prime Minister then addressed the subject of women's safety, adding that five years ago, females in this country were terrified to leave their homes after dinner. "Today they are making the entire country proud," the PM said. He was not only a politician, but he also worked to make India self-sufficient. India must become self-sufficient in sports equipment manufacture.
Sports will be given priority in the implementation of the National Education Policy, according to the PM. It is currently classified alongside science, maths, and other subjects. Sports, according to the PM, will be a unique topic. The new sports university will be constructed in Meerut's Sardhana Town, in the villages of Salawa and Kaili.
A synthetic hockey field, as well as facilities for handball, football, basketball, volleyball, and kabaddi, will be part of the sports university's state-of-the-art sports infrastructure. A gymnasium, a synthetic running stadium, a swimming pool, and multipurpose halls will be included in the complex.
Canoeing, kayaking, shooting, squash, weightlifting, weightlifting, canoeing, and archery will all be available at the university. The varsity has a capacity of 1,080 athletes, including 540 females and 540 guys.
Before the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi prayed at the Augurnath temple in Meerut. Anandiben Patel, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, and Yogi Adityanath, the state's chief minister, accompanied him on his voyage.
