Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the 25th National Youth Festival in Puducherry by video conference on National Youth Day, which commemorates Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. 

The event aims to mould the minds of India's youth and transform them into a united force for nation-building, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). It is one of the most significant exercises in social cohesion, intellectual integration, and cultural integration ever undertaken. 

It aspires to bring together India's various cultures and weave them into a unified thread of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.'

Due to the unfolding COVID issue, the festival has been rescheduled to take place virtually from January 12 to 13. The National Youth Summit, which will feature panel discussions on four identified themes, will follow the inauguration. 

Themes will include ecology, climate, and SDG-led growth; tech, entrepreneurship, and innovation; indigenous and ancient knowledge; and national character, nation-building, and homegrown in line with youth-led development and motivating youths to overcome rising concerns and difficulties. During the Festival, participants will be shown recorded video capsules of Puducherry, Auroville, Immersive City Experience, indigenous sports games, and folk dances, among other things. In the evening, there will be open talks with Olympians and Paralympians, followed by live performances. Yoga in the virtual world

In the morning, there will be a yoga session. 

The Prime Minister will read writings on "Mere Sapno ka Bharat" and "Unsung Heroes of the Indian Freedom Movement" at the event. These articles were chosen from more than 1 lakh responses on the two themes. 

The Prime Minister will also dedicate a Technology Centre for the MSME Ministry in Puducherry, which was built with a budget of Rs 122 crore. The Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) Sector will be the emphasis of this Technology Centre, which will be equipped with cutting-edge technology. It will contribute to young skill development by training roughly 6400 trainees per year.

The Prime Minister will also inauguratethe Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Manimandapam, a Rs 23 crore auditorium with open-air theatre built by the Government of Puducherry. According to the PMO, it will be largely used for educational purposes and will have a capacity of over 1000 people.
