Officials in J&K's Rajouri district reported two Army personnel were killed in suspected "accidental firing" at a forward region along the Line of Control on Thursday.
Officials told Sources that the event occurred at a forward point in Rajouri's Hanjan Wali district, and that both of the fallen soldiers were shot.
According to an official, a shooting incident occurred near Hanjanwali on the LoC in the Rajouri sector, in which two Army men were injured and died. Sepoy Sarabjeet Singh and Sepoy Navraj Singh have been recognised as the deceased.
Officials claim that the shooting occurred under unexplained circumstances, and that both Army men were injured and died as a result. Senior Army officials and a police team led by a Station House Officer arrived on the scene and began conducting a spot examination and inquiry.
