They left a note indicating that they were terminating their life because they were unable to repay the loans they had taken out from a number of people.

On January 13, a couple was discovered dead in Puralukoppa, Thirthahalli taluk.

Manjunath, 46, and Usha, 44, have two kids who survive them. Manjunath wrote a note indicating that he and his wife were taking their own lives since they were unable to repay multiple loans. They desired that their children be cared for.

They were tiny farmers with a two-acre areca nut orchard. The couple had taken out loans for their children’s education as well as other expenses. They took their own lives in the early hours of the morning, as their elder son slept in a nearby room. Their younger son was staying with his grandparents.
