A producer stated on Friday that popular comedian and TV show host Kapil Sharma's life narrative will be depicted in an upcoming biographical drama film.
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the director of "Fukrey," will direct the film, which will be titled "Funkaar." Under the company Lyca Productions, Mahaveer Jain will produce the film.

Jain, who previously funded Rajinikanth's "2.0" and future projects such as Akshay Kumar's "Ram Setu," said the team is delighted to tell Sharma's tale to the world.
"Thanks to Kapil Sharma, billions of people get their daily dose of dopamine." Love, life, and laughter are essential for all of us. "We are ecstatic to bring comedic legend Kapil Sharma's undiscovered narrative to the big screen," he stated.
Sharma, an Amritsar native, rose to prominence in 2007 after winning the comedic reality television show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge."
The 40-year-old comedian continued to appear for reality series until 2013, when he created his own show, "Comedy Nights with Kapil," under his K9 Productions banner, which catapulted him to even greater fame.
"The Kapil Sharma Show" is Sharma's current show. In 2015, he made his feature acting debut in Abbas Mustan's comedy "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon," and then starred in the historical drama "Firangi."
On January 28, he will premiere his debut comedy special "Kapil Sharma: I'm Not Done Yet," which will be available on Netflix.
