The work on special review of picture electoral records was finished and released on Saturday in all 68 Assembly constituencies in Himachal Pradesh. “During the updating of the voter list, as many as 1,00,524 new voters were registered, including 54,087 registrants in the age bracket of 18-19,” a representative for the Chief Electoral Officer said. Aside from that, the names of 39,229 voters were removed from the voter list owing to death, change of address, or double registration. In this way, the voter list increased by 61,295 voters, or 1.15 percent, over the draught release of the electoral rolls.”
The State Election Department’s website now has voter lists for all Assembly constituencies.” The NVSP Portal and Vote Help Line Mobile Application can also be used to double-check names on these lists (VHA). “A CD containing the PDF of the voter lists can be purchased for Rs 100 per DVD from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, or the District Election Offices concerned in the state,” the spokesman added.
