Global divisions have been exacerbated by radically different pandemic experiences, according to the WEF, which describes itself as an international organization for public-private cooperation. Vaccine inequities, combined with new strains, have also slowed international economic recovery.
However, Covid-19 is one of the important global concerns that could become unmanageable unless world leaders prioritize proactive collaboration; as a result, the Davos Agenda will focus on promoting concerted action among key global stakeholders, according to the statement.
“Everyone,” remarked Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.
The Davos Agenda 2022 will provide essential insights into a range of critical concerns through special addresses and panels with leaders of G20 economies and international organizations, according to the WEF.
The summit will also bring together government and business leaders, international organizations, and civil society to share their perspectives, views, and plans on some of the world’s most pressing issues, including climate change, social contracts, and vaccination fairness.
These meetings will also serve as a platform for a broader connection, allowing the general public to participate and engage in the discussion.
Several WEF initiatives will be launched during Davos Agenda 2022, including the race to net-zero emissions, the economic opportunity of nature-positive solutions, and cyber resilience.
Between January 17 and 21, there will be additional launches on a variety of critical topics, including strengthening global value chains, building economies in fragile markets through humanitarian investing, bridging the vaccine manufacturing gap, and using data solutions to prepare for the next pandemic.
