Companies are experiencing “huge work disruptions” as a result of staff testing positive for the virus, according to the businesswoman’s post. In her tweet, she stated, “Keeping industry going is a critical need for the economy.”
In her tweet, she tagged the Prime Minister’s Office and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Twitter.
India began giving ‘precautionary doses’ or booster shots of the Covid-19 vaccine to frontline workers, healthcare personnel, and people over 60 years old on January 10. Over 40 lakh people have now received their preventive doses.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is the executive chairman and founder of Biocon Limited, a biopharmaceutical firm. She was previously the chairperson of the Indian Institute of Management in Bengaluru, where she was awarded the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
