Harak Singh Rawat said that the state leadership did not consult him before suspending him from the government, and that he had no desire to be a minister.
Harak Singh Rawat, a sacked Uttarakhand minister who was removed from the BJP's core membership and ousted from the state cabinet on Sunday, wept today as he spoke about his expulsion from the party.
He said that the state leadership did not consult him before suspending him from the cabinet, and that he had no desire to be a minister.
"Union Minister Pralhad Joshi invited me to a meeting in Delhi, however there was a slight delay owing to traffic. "I planned to meet him and Home Minister Amit Shah, but as soon as I arrived in Delhi, I learned that they (the BJP) had evicted me," Rawat added.
"They (the BJP) didn't even bother to talk to me before making such a major decision." I would have resigned from the BJP four years ago if I hadn't quit Congress to join the BJP. "I didn't want to be a minister; all I wanted to do was work," he added.
Rawat, who is the state assembly member for Kotdwar, has stated that he will work for the Congress, which he claims will form the government in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Dhami has removed Rawat from the cabinet and expelled him from the party's primary membership for six years due to "indiscipline." He is alleged to have been pursuing a Lansdowne constituency ticket for his daughter-in-law Anukriti Gusain as well as a change of seat for himself.
