Police in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district stated on Sunday that a 32-year-old lady was allegedly gang-raped and tortured by her husband and four of his associates, and that five suspects had been arrested. The woman said that her spouse and others tortured her by performing unnatural sex and signed cigarettes in her private areas. When she resisted the sexual assault, they threatened to murder her, according to the FIR, an officer said.
The alleged gang-rape took place between November 2019 and October 2021 at a farmhouse in Indore's Shipra police station area, according to the official. He claimed the woman, who was from Chhattisgarh, met an Indore-based man on a matrimonial website and married him. The man, though, is already married, according to the police sub-inspector.
The complainant told the cops that she had gotten away from the farmhouse and was on her way to her parents' house "'s residence in Chhattisgarh. However, one of the accused males followed her there with the intent of harming her, according to the official. Five men, including the victim, were arrested "s husband, were arrested from various parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), he said, adding that additional investigation is continuing.
