For pupils in grades 8 to 10, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established a Science challenge. In an age when science and technology are critical aspects in understanding the world, the board is holding this competition "as an endeavour to generate interest, inquiry, and higher order thinking among the learners."

From January 17 to February 28, 2022, the 'CBSE Science Challenge' will be offered on the DIKSHA platform. The challenge will be offered in both Hindi and English, and there will be no participation fee for students from all grades.

Students attending CBSE-affiliated schools must register at cbse.gov.in. Students will need to use their registration IDs to access the challenge on the platform once they have registered. Students from schools that are not associated with CBSE can directly access the challenge through the portal.

A participation certificate will be given to all students who complete the challenge/course. Schools can then submit five students from each class who received a participation certificate in the Science Challenge to advance to the Raman Young Science Innovator Awards second stage or national qualifiers.

To acquire certificates, students who apply for the challenge should download the most recent version of the DIKSHA application or go to the DIKSHA website. It is the duty of schools to ensure that students' names are spelled correctly on the website or app.
