A large fire broke out inside a closed cinema hall in the city’s Lake Town neighborhood, injuring at least two individuals, according to a senior official with the Fire Department. On Friday night, at least 15 fire tenders were dispatched to put out a flame at the “Mini Jaya” hall. Fire Minister Sujit Bose, who is also a native of the region, hurried to the scene and started the fire was likely sparked by a stove on which the caretaker’s wife was cooking meals. They remained in a room on the building’s top floor.

“It appears that the fire started on the cooktop where the caretaker’s wife was cooking. The woman was burned and had to go to the hospital.
