Today, Sh. Praveer Ranjan IPS, DGP/UT, Chandigarh has inaugurated a new mini-Covid care centre at the Police Hospital, Sector 26 with a 52-bed capacity with L-2 facilities dedicated to public by lighting lamps.
The DGP congratulated Sri Sathya Sai Gramin Jagriti and its functionaries, who are already doing a lot of good work in the Society, for setting up this covid care center in a record time, on voluntary charitable basis. Lauding the members of Sri Sathya Sai Gramin Jagriti, in getting the hospital in place in a record time, the DGP outlined that the covid care center shall offer free treatment to areas of Bapu Dham, families of police personnel and also the general public at large especially from poor strata.
The trust informed that the center provides all facilities free of cost, including treatment with 52 Oxygen beds, a competent team of 28 Doctors and medical staff shall look after patients’ 24x7. Besides the patients shall be given entertainment, games like Carom, chess, yoga and dance lessons and also challenges like balloons blowing to booster their oxygen levels. Free food, fruit and nutritious diet shall also be provided by the Organization to the patients. The organization has provided blankets, geysers and heaters at the building besides creating doctor cabins and partitioning the building with the main hospital.
According to the Chairman of the trust, the unused portion of the Hospital Building was converted, by sprucing up, refurbishing and giving it a totally new look to make a state of art covid facility at this site, for poor and under-privileged.
