​​​1) 2020 - The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 came into effect from January 2020. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked prison authorities to make separate facilities for trans men and trans women to preserve the right to privacy and dignity of the inmates. 

2) 1967 - The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is an intergovernmental forum established in the year 1967 and is headquartered in Indonesia. 

3) PV Sindhu - PV Sindhu became the only female sportsperson from India, to win two successive Olympics medals – silver at Rio 2016 and bronze in Tokyo 2020. Over the course of her career, Sindhu has won medals at multiple tournaments including Olympics and on the BWF circuit including gold at the 2019 World Championships. She is the first Indian to become the Badminton World Champion and only the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games.
