Varun Dhawan was spotted attending the final rites for his driver Manoj Sahu on Wednesday evening. Varun Dhawan's brother, filmmaker Rohit Dhawan, was seen at the Lilavati Hospital, where Manoj Sahu was being treated. Manoj Sahu, Varun Dhawan's driver, died of a heart attack on Tuesday. According to ANI, the October star suffered a heart attack while filming a project at the Mehboob Studio in Bandra. He was transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the medics.
Varun and his brother Rohit were seen attending the last rites of "Manoj dada," who had worked for the Dhawan family for many years, in several photos that circulated on social media.
Varun had previously written an emotional tribute in Manoj's memory on Instagram.
He said, "Manoj has been in my life for the last 26 years. He was my everything. I have no words to express my grief but all I want is people to remember him for his amazing wit and humour and passion he had for life. I will always be grateful I had you in my life Manoj dada."
Varun also uploaded an old video of himself at the inauguration of his wax figure at Madame Tussauds, in which he thanked his "Manoj dada" for his efforts and devotion. Several of Dhawan's industry colleagues, including Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani, and Kriti Sanon, have expressed their condolences.
After having a heart attack on Tuesday night, Manoj passed away. Manoj drove Varun to Mehboob Studio for an ad shoot, according to reports, and then complained of chest discomfort. The actor's staff quickly took him to Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Varun will be seen next in the forthcoming family drama 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo.' Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli appear in the film, which is planned to be released in theaters on June 24, 2022.
He will also appear alongside Kriti Sanon in the film 'Bhediya.' The film will now be released on November 25, 2022, instead of April 14, 2022, as previously planned.
Varun will play the part of a half-man, half-wolf in the film.
The screenplay of the film, which also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal, was written by National Award Winner Niren Bhatt, who previously created intriguing scripts for 'Bala,' 'Made In China,' and 'Wrong Side Raju.'
