The Delhi Government today established a one-stop website for the marketing and adoption of electric vehicles in the city, in an effort to persuade commuters to convert to electric vehicles.
The newly built EV website, ev.delhi.gov.in, will provide all the information that purchasers, manufacturers, academicians, and EV fans need.
The Delhi Government hopes to give the public with the most user-friendly experience possible through this website, as well as the necessary information to make purchasing an electric vehicle easier.
The website allows users to look at all of the public charging stations that are currently available in the city. Delhi now has 377 charging stations spread over 170 places. "The website provides information on the location, type of charger, and charging sites," said a representative for the Delhi government.
The website will offer customers with real-time updated numbers as the number of charging stations in Delhi grows.
Aside from that, the EV calculator will estimate the fuel savings on the visitor's preferred electric vehicle when compared to a comparable conventional vehicle.
It enables consumers to make an informed decision and discover the cost savings that an EV can deliver, given that the maintenance and operation costs of an EV are far lower than those of conventional vehicles," according to the press release.
In addition, the service will assist purchasers in obtaining information on all registered EV vehicles without having to go from pillar to post.
The EV Search option allows visitors to search through a variety of electric vehicle model variants, which may be filtered by price, brand, and range in a single click.
The website also has an Input and Grievance column, which will allow users to submit feedback as well as record any grievances or requests from various stakeholders affected by the Policy.
"Modernisation is necessary in every area," stated Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot during the inaugural event. This new website will be able to provide all necessary information to potential EV buyers, as well as maintain track of sales and charging infrastructure statistics on a daily basis. I appreciate the team's efforts and encourage everyone to visit the new EV website."
