CHANDIGARH: The Digital Media Association has expressed gratitude to Punjab State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr.S.Karuna Raju for allowing Punjab journalists to make use of Postal ballot for the first time in country.
Devinderjit Singh Darshi president of Digital Media Association today said that on the request of association, Sr. Raju had made special efforts to allow facility of postal ballot papers. It was brought to the notice of Dr.Raju that journalists were not able to cast their votes due to their election duties at different places in the field.
Darshi said that journalists were part of election process and perform duties to safeguard the democracy at grass root level.
Those expressed gratitude to CEO included Baljit Balli Chief Patron of the Association, Satinder Bains Chairman, H.S, Bawa Senior Vice President, Mahavir Jain Vice President, Devinder Singh Kohli General Secretary, Parminder Singh Jattpuri Secretary and Prashant Sharma Joint Secretary.
