On Friday, Adityanath filed his nomination papers for the Gorakhpur Urban Assembly seat. Before registering his nomination at the collectorate office, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister spoke at a rally with Minister Amit Shah.

Yogi Adityanath, who has served Gorakhpur in the Lok Sabha for five terms, is running for the first time in an assembly poll. On March 3, voters in Gorakhpur Urban will vote in the sixth phase of the UP elections.

Yogi Adityanath listed assets of Rs 1,54,94,054 in his electoral affidavit. This includes cash in hand, six bank account balances, and savings. The Uttar Pradesh chief minister also revealed that he owned a Samsung phone for Rs 12,000, a revolver worth Rs 100,000, and a rifle costing Rs 80,000.

Yogi Adityanath also possesses a gold ear ornament weighing 20 grammes worth Rs 49,000 and a gold chain and Rudraksha neck jewellery weighing 10 grammes worth Rs 20,000, according to the declaration.

Yogi Adityanath has declared income of Rs 13,20,653 for FY 2020-21, Rs 15,68,799 for FY 2019-20, Rs 18,27,639 for FY 2018-19, and Rs 14,38,670 for FY 2017-18 in his affidavit.

According to his poll affidavit, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister does not own any agricultural or non-agricultural property. According the declaration, he does not have any liabilities or have any vehicles registered in his name. There are no pending criminal cases against Yogi Adityanath, according to his poll affidavit.

Yogi Adityanath addressed people in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Hapur, and Noida through a virtual ‘Jan Chaupal’ with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after filing his nomination papers.

The BJP’s chief ministerial candidate, speaking at the ‘Jan Chaupal,’ said his party is running on issues like nationalism, development, and good administration.

He also stated that the BJP’s manifesto (Sankalp Patra) will be unveiled on February 6.

“In 2017, we made 212 promises. We’ve spent the last five years working to ensure the safety and empowerment of women and farmers, as well as to provide jobs for the underprivileged. Today, the public is overwhelmingly supportive of the BJP “Yogi Adityanath was quoted as saying. During past governments, he claimed, the Uttar Pradesh administration was “controlled” by “goons and mafias.”

“Today, there is an atmosphere of safety for women, investments have increased. The exodus of businessmen and youth due to mafias has also stopped. A new exodus began that of mafias and criminals,” Yogi Adityanath said.
