Earlier, Shreyas Iyer, who was expectedly one of the highest-paid players among the marquee set, became one of the highest-paid players within the marquee set after Kolkata Knight Riders bid Rs 12.25 crore. Iyer's arrival at KKR assures that they have a captaincy candidate, while the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team also received their Australian speed spearhead, Pat Cummins, back for half the price, at Rs 7.25 crore.
