Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, stated today that Punjab Chief Minister Channi is losing both of the seats he is running for, and that this has been confirmed by another of their telepolls, which has been repeated three times.

Mr. Kejriwal remarked while campaigning in Amritsar, Punjab, that "Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur are fighting Channi Saheb. We've done three surveys and Channi Saheb is losing both seats "

He predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party would receive 52% of the vote in Chamkaur. According to the AAP chief, it will receive 48% of the vote in Bhadaur.

"Who will become Chief Minister if he (Mr Channi) does not become an MLA?" Mr. Kejriwal explained.

Bhagwant Mann, the party's Chief Ministerial candidate in Punjab, mocked the Congress, citing infighting as an example.

Mr Mann stated, "The Congress candidates are looking for a star campaigner, but Navjot Sidhu and Sunil Jakhar are not campaigning."

"The Congress has devolved into a circus, with members attacking each other... I'm not sure who's doing what. How can Punjab be saved if its people are fighting amongst themselves?" He was adamant.

Following a telepoll, Mr Kejriwal chose Mr Mann as the party's Chief Ministerial candidate.

He said that the AAP leader had received 93 percent of the vote, significantly more than Mr Channi or Mr Sidhu. He claimed that the latter received barely 3% of the vote, prompting the cricketer-turned-politician to appeal the telepoll results to the Election Commission.

The Congress party won 77 of Punjab's 117 constituencies in the 2017 assembly election.

The AAP won 20 seats in the 2017 election, finishing second to the Congress, which won 77 of the state's 117 seats.

The Akali Dal had won 15 seats, while the BJP, with whom it was in an alliance at the time, had won three.

This time, AAP has checked all the boxes, announcing a Chief Ministerial candidate and releasing a 23-point Delhi-style manifesto weeks before the poll, offering free power and water.

Punjabi voters will go to the polls on February 20th, and the results will be announced on March 10th.
