The CBI interrogated Chitra Ramkrishna, the former chief of the country's main stock exchange, at her Mumbai residence for over 12 hours today in connection with a market manipulation case.

The 59-year-old former CEO and Managing Director of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) is also being investigated for allegedly disclosing secret information to a "yoga" in the Himalayas who reportedly influenced her judgments.

According to a Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) report, Ms Ramkrishna communicated sensitive information with the yogi, including the NSE's financial and commercial goals, dividend scenario, and financial performance.

Ms Ramkrishna's reaction to SEBI on queries about her strange dependence on the spiritual guru and her email conversations with a "unknown person," assumed to be him, is included in the report.

Ms Ramkrishna met this person "many times in 2015," according to the emails, according to SEBI. From 2013 to 2016, she was the CEO of the stock market.

The email address rigyajursama@outlook.com was used by the "unknown person." According to Ms Ramkrishna, the email was sent from a "Sidhha Purusha/yogi who may be mostly residing in the Himalayan regions."

"I've met him in sacred locations on several times. There are no geographic coordinates provided "She informed the watchdog.

When asked how the yogi could have accessed emails and corresponded on a regular basis while living in the Himalayas, she said she couldn't. "To the best of my understanding," she responded, "their spiritual powers do not require them to have any such physical coordinates."

referring to him as a ""I met him for the first time on the banks of the Ganges approximately 20 years ago personally," she informed SEBI. As a result, I've sought his advice on a variety of personal and professional concerns over the years. Along the process, I asked him for a mechanism to seek his counsel anytime I needed it because he could manifest at will and I didn't have any locational coordinates. As a result, he provided me with an email address to which I could make my requests."

Emails between the two are also listed in the SEBI order.

According to an e-mail from the yogi dated February 17, 2015, "...and don't forget to bring your baggage. I'm arranging a trip to the Seychelles next month, and I'll see if you'd want to join me before Kanchan goes to London with Kaanchana and Barghava, and you fly to New Zealand with two kids. For further travel, Hong Kong or Singapore are favoured transit options. If you need assistance, please let me know and Seshu will assist you. If you can swim, we may take a sea bath and relax on the beach in Seychelles. For all of our tickets, I'm urging my tour operator to contact Kanchan."

The Department of Justice, in an e-mail dated February 18, 2015, stated that ""Today you are looking Awesome," wrote an unknown person to Ms Ramkrishna. You must learn several ways to platt your hair in order to make your appearance more interesting and appealing!! Just some free advice, which I'm sure you'll take advantage of. Keep the middle of March free (sic)."

"...PS: I overheard with Kanchan when you said lets pack and depart, Get ready count down starts now I arranged for Seychelles where you can chill it off (sic)," the same sender wrote to Ms Ramkrishna on February 25, 2015.

On September 16, 2015, an anonymous person sent Ms Ramkrishna an email that read: "Did you get a chance to listen to the Makara Kundala song I sent you? You should be able to hear the reverberations of those repetitions. I'm glad to see you smiling, both on your face and in your heart. I enjoyed my time with you yesterday. You feel younger and more energetic as a result of the tiny things you accomplished for yourself."
