Answers: 

1) Germany - Olaf Scholz has been appointed as the Chancellor of Germany from December 2021. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a discussion with his German counterpart and congratulated on his appointment as Chancellor. 

2) e-Sanjeevani - The Union Health Ministry’s tele-medicine service called e-Sanjeevani is operational in 31 States/Union Territories.

The digital service has crossed a recent milestone of 3 million consultations, with an average of 35000 patients across the country. The Service includes two variants: one for doctor to doctor and one for outpatient services. Tamil Nadu tops the number of consultations. 

3) Joe Root - The England Cricket Team Captain Joe Root has become the first cricket player to score a double century in the 100th test match.

Joe Root achieved this feat during the test match against India at Chennai. He scored fifth double century of his career. He also became only the second captain, other than Don Bradman, to hit 150-plus scores in three Test matches in a run.

4) Odisha - Paika Rebellion was an armed rebellion against Company Rule in India in 1817 which took place in parts of Odisha.

The Union Government, in consultation with the Indian Council of Historical Research has clarified that the Paika Rebellion had set an example for the masses in India against the company rule, but the same cannot be termed as the first War of Independence. 

5) Manipur - Manipur got its first-ever good freight train connectivity post independence, as the first freight train arrived at the Rani Gaidinliu station of the north-eastern state.

Earlier, a passenger train from Silchar in Assam reached the Bongaichungpao railway station in Manipur. This is a part of the 111 km long Jiribam-Imphal new line project, which will connect Imphal with Guwahati.
