Farmers in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, approximately 40 kilometres from Lucknow, reportedly released hundreds of cattle in an open ground near the site of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's rally earlier today to draw attention to the stray cow problem in their area.

Hundreds of unsupervised cattle are seen walking on an open ground in a video shared by farmer leader Ramandeep Singh Mann.

"Farmers drove hundreds of cattle from the fields and left them near the rally location before Yogi Adityanath's event in Barabanki. The farmers were unable to find a solution to the problem of runaway cattle "Mr. Mann sent out a tweet. "The UP government, too, has been unable to find a solution for the past five years. Before the event, the farmers waited to know what remedy the BJP would offer "He sent out a tweet.

While the Chief Minister and the Barabanki administration did not respond immediately, Yogi Adityanath tweeted a reminder this evening, sharing a video clip of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurance last week that if the BJP retained power in the state, the problem of stray cattle in the state would be solved.

"After March 10, a new system will be implemented to address the issues that you and your neighbours are experiencing as a result of stray animals. A system will be developed to allow you to profit from the manure of a cow that does not produce milk "PM Modi made the remarks at a rally on Sunday.

In a tweet, the opposition Congress retaliated by repeating the Chief Minister's post. The BJP government has been chastised by the Congress for "ignoring" the issue for the past five years. Only before the elections did Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi notice the stray cattle problem, according to the report.

"In the last five years, the number of bulls in Uttar Pradesh must have increased by five times the number of new BJP members. They are promising to find a solution to the stray cattle problem as soon as the election is over. The news has come as a shock to BJP members. Both the BJP government and the bulls will be extinguished "The Congress sent out a tweet.

The Yogi Adityanath government included cash for cow sanctuaries in the state budget this year, and instructed district administrations and municipal corporations to make preparations.

The state government had recently issued an ordinance permitting businesses to use CSR funding to provide shelters for stray cows in rural regions.

However, several sources correspondents, indicate that the stray cow problem in Uttar Pradesh is causing farmers to fence their fields with barbed wire and spend restless nights protecting their crops from harm.
