Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed opposition parties for promising government jobs to the people of Uttar Pradesh, saying that the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments gave only two lakh government jobs in ten years, while the Yogi government gave five lakh jobs in the last five years.
"They (opposition parties) are attempting to deceive the state's youth once again in the name of jobs. In reality, they only hired two lakh people in ten years, and they did it on the basis of nepotism (Bhai-Bhatijawad), casteism, and corruption "PM Modi remarked this while speaking at a rally in Prayagraj.
"In the last five years, Yogi Adityanath's government has created five lakh government employment," he remarked.
The Prime Minister went on to say that employment awarded during the Bharatiya Janata Party's time were not based on opposition party criteria, but rather "jobs were offered with full transparency to the children of the underprivileged."
PM Modi also slammed the opposition for anomalies in the previous government's selection procedure for government positions, saying that "the games they played by placing businesspeople in selection panels wrecked the lives of worthy young of the state."
"Previously, the PCS test in Uttar Pradesh had a distinct syllabus from the UPSC exam. Our government recognised your issue, and the UP PCS and UPSC syllabuses are now identical. Youth may now take both tests with the same amount of effort "Added he.
The rally in Prayagraj by Prime Minister Modi comes ahead of the fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh elections on February 27.
Uttar Pradesh is holding seven-phase elections, with four rounds already completed. The state has 403 assembly seats. On February 10, 14, 20, and 23, four rounds of voting were held.
