UPDATE FIRING INCIDENT
SEC AMRITSAR (ASR)/144 BN (KHASA)
On 06.03.22 from 0945 hrs to 1015 hrs, Regt No 11009635 CT Setteppa SK of 'B' Coy 144 Bn started firing on his fellow members in GD and ORs barrack with his duty weapon.
• Individual was roaming in campus and he also fired on vehicle of Sh Satish Mishra, 2IC (Offg Comdt 144 Bn) when 2IC 144 Bn was coming towards Sector hospital.
• During this, 06 Nos of persons were critically injured and referred to IVY hospital immediately.
declared 05 Casualty at around 1100 hrs.
• CT Satteppa SK was overpowered at unit hospital when his magazine got empty.
• CT Settappa S K is also injured and under control. He was referred to IVY hospital for further treatment.
