The Indian National Congress (INC) Sonia Gandhi has appointed to make an assessment of the post-elections situation in the state of Punjab where the party was badly defeated.
He will also be tasked with the duty to suggest organisational changes in the party leadership of the state based on the feedback received from seniors leaders of the party and MLA candidates of Punjab.
Ajay Maken was the Chairman of AICC Screening Committee for Punjab.
Meanwhile, leaders of the 'Group of 23' (G23) met at the house of former Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabhi Azad to discuss the future strategy of their group and party's post poll debacle in the recently held assembly polls.
