Political strategist Prashant Kishor on Thursday, 5th May conducted a press conference, elaborating on his plan for the people of Bihar. The IPAC founder had talked about going to the REAL MASTERS and the concept of ‘Jan Suraaj’ – people’s good governance in his tweet earlier this week.  There were speculations of political strategists launching a party in Bihar.

At the press conference today, Prashant Kishor said that he is going to take the concept of ‘Jan Suraaj’ to people. “To tell the people about the concept of Jan Suraaj, starting October 2, I am going to launch a foot-march of around 3,000 Kilometers spanning over eight months with the aim to touch upon the maximum number of people.” Prashant Kishor clarified that there is no plan to formulate a new party for now.

Prashant Kishore, however, explained that he is in touch with people from Bihar and if need be a new party/forum would be created. He said “We have identified more than 1700 people and have contacted them in past five months. In the coming months, I am going to meet them personally, and develop the concept of Jan Suraaj. “If the majority decide, that there is a need to formulate a new party for the purpose of good governance then a decision would be taken at an appropriate time.” He recorded.

The political strategist highlighted that after thirty years of combined rule of Lalu, Nitish, Bihar is placed at bottom of almost all development indexes and that there is need for fresh thinking and efforts to take Bihar in a new direction.

The former JDU vice president also talked about his previous initiative - Baat Bihar Ki which he had started in January 2020. Prashant Kishor said that ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ mainly got derailed due to an outbreak of the covid disease in the country.
