Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) members to send cheques and demand drafts for Rs 420 to PM Narendra Modi in a symbolic protest against the central government's newly launched Agnipath scheme, AAP's Rajya Sabha member and UP in-charge and Sanjay Singh said on 2nd July.

Sanjay Singh targeting PM Modi, stated that he would be told not to do 'char sau bisi (420)' (cheating) with the Indian Army, and it will also appeal to the central government to not cry for money to protect India.Singh further announced that the AAP would begin protesting against the Agnipath scheme across the state soon. 

According to him, AAP will hold agitation against the government misguiding the people by claiming a lack of money for the security of the borders.Speaking to the media at the AAP's state office, Singh stated that the party has decided that on 3rd July, members of the youth and student wings will further urge people to donate against the policies of the BJP government across the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The AAP leader noted that they would further register its symbolic protest by sending Rs 420 to the BJP government through cheques and demand drafts. Referring to the Enforcement Directorate raids against some Opposition leaders, the AAP leader alleged that the probe agency had become a puppet of the Bharathiya Janata Party. He claimed that forcementthe ED played the most prominent role in toppling the entire MVA Government in Maharashtra Directorate along with the "kidnapping gang" of the BJP.

Agneepath/ Agnipath Scheme is a recruitment process launched by the central government wherein selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveers for a four-year period in Indian Armed Forces. The newly launched scheme is part of PM Narendra Modi's reform toward reducing expenditure and the age profile of the defense forces.
