Chandigarh, February 28 : To uplift the Technical education quality in state Government industrial Training institute (ITI), Rupnagar signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Claas India Pvt. Ltd.
Disclosing this here today Technical education minister Punjab Mr. Harjot Singh Bains said that under the visionary guidance of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Maan, the Department is committed to uplifting the standard of technical education in Punjab.
Mr. Bains said one such initiative is being launched in GOVT ITI, Rupnagar with the signing of MOU with Claas India Pvt. Ltd.
He said on behalf of Punjab government Ms Seema Jain, IAS, ACS,TE&IT and S. DPS Kharbanda, IAS, Director, Technical Education & Industrial Training had signed a MOU with CLAAS INDIA PVT. LTD. Morinda for strengthening and upgrading the Govt. ITI Rupnagar.
CLAAS INDIA is a wholly owned subsidiary of CLAAS group of Germany which is headquartered at Harsewinkel in Westfalia province. Since inception in 1991, CLAAS India is manufacturing combine harvesters suitable for local harvest conditions. CLAAS INDIA will take initiatives to establish Harvesting Combine Workshop, equipment, Computer Lab, Placement Lab, introduce Smart Classrooms, install RO systems, equip civil infrastructure and placement of skilled trainers.
Mr Bains said this will help trainees of Govt. ITI, Rupnagar in sharpening of skills, promote self-entrepreneurship and will enhance the opportunities of better employability. In this regard, both parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28.02.2023. Thereafter, the implementation of the program shall commence.
