The Municipal Corporation will simultaneously hand over notices to 645 property tax defaulters.

If the dues are not deposited in 7 days, the property will be sealed.

19 June, Panchkula.: Municipal Corporation Panchkula once again preparing to send notices to property tax defaulters. In the past, the corporation had served notices to 119 people whose property tax outstanding was more than Rs 10 lakh. Now the Corporation is about to serve notices to a total of 645 private and government properties whose property tax is more than Rs 1 lakh outstanding. Corporation Commissioner IAS Mr. Sachin Gupta said that out of 645, there are 458 private properties whose property tax arrears are between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, including Sector 14 Era Institute, Suraj Theatre, Sector 9 Big Bite, Sector 6 Hans Raj Public School, Plot No. 5 and 22 in IT Park, Sector 4 Satluj Public School. There are 187 government properties out of 645, whose property tax is more than Rs 1 lakh, including Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3 Gym Khana, MDC 1 Gym Khana, UHBVN, Sector 4 Women and Child Development Office, Sector 1 District Court Are included. The commissioner said that a total of Rs 35 crore property tax is outstanding from the government property. Commissioner Mr. Sachin Gupta has ordered Zonal Taxation Officer Akash Kapoor to hand over notice to these property tax defaulters. The commissioner directed that strict action should be taken against property tax defaulters and property tax should be recovered from property tax defaulters and the list of their names should be uploaded again on mcpanchkula.com. To which Zonal Taxation Officer Akash Kapoor said that today itself he will hand over notices to all property tax defaulters. Commissioner Mr. Sachin Gupta instructed the Zonal Taxation Office Akash Kapoor to ask all these property tax defaulters to clear the dues within a week and give them 7 days time to pay the property tax. The commissioner said that any property tax defaulter who has not deposited the property tax in 7 days, then sealing action should be taken against the property tax defaulter.

On the other hand, Mayor Mr. Kulbhushan Goyal said that notices were sent to 119 property tax defaulters last time. He said that the corporation's revenue is suffering due to non-deposit of property tax defaulters. He urged the property tax defaulters to deposit their property tax on time, so that they do not face any kind of problem.
