BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has alleged that the sexual harassment allegations made against him are part of a conspiracy orchestrated by the Congress party. Singh claimed that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's tweet calling for his arrest and removal from office is an attempt to mislead the country.
Singh emphasized that according to the law, a person cannot be deemed guilty based solely on a police investigation report. It is the court's responsibility to determine guilt. Each citizen can present their case before the court, however it is the court's decision which is considered final. Singh accused Priyanka Gandhi and the Congress party of engaging in media trials instead of having faith in the judicial process.
The Delhi Police filed a charge sheet on June 15, stating that Singh is liable to be prosecuted for sexual harassment, molestation, and stalking. Singh's aide, Vinod Tomar, has also been charged with abetment, sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her belief that individuals accused of crimes against women should be arrested and removed from their positions. She questioned why the accused, who allegedly mistreated female athletes who have brought pride to the country, are being protected in the BJP government. She raised concerns about the suppression and the silence of the government on the matter.
Singh listed past instances in which he and his family have allegedly been targeted by the Congress party. He claimed that the entire party is involved in a conspiracy, with individuals like Priyanka Gandhi and Bhupendra Hooda playing leading roles.
The allegations and counter-allegations have created a controversial environment surrounding the case, with both sides presenting their arguments and questioning the motives of the opposing party. The legal proceedings will ultimately determine the truth behind the allegations and the appropriate punishment for the guilty.
However, the delay in the matter is raising more fingers against the present government. There has been no proper action undertaken to control the situation.
