In a remarkable feat, a total of 13 cadets from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) in Mohali, Punjab, have earned coveted positions in esteemed defence academies. Over the past month, these cadets have secured admissions into prominent institutions such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), Cadet Training Wings for the Technical Entry Scheme, and the Indian Military Academy.
The achievement was highlighted by Punjab's Minister for Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training, Aman Arora, who expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the AFPI cadets. Minister Arora revealed that the AFPI alumni have had a commendable track record, with a total of 216 individuals having joined various service training academies to date. Among these alumni, an impressive 141 have successfully been commissioned as officers. The institute boasts a commendable selection rate of 52 percent, further solidifying its reputation for producing competent and capable individuals for the defence forces.
