PM Modi Highlights Importance of Positive Alliances and Poverty Eradication Efforts in NDA Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of positive alliances for the progress and stability of the country. His remarks came after the opposition parties formed their own alliance called INDIA - Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. PM Modi stated that alliances built on negative perceptions, corruption, nepotism, casteism, and regionalism are harmful to the country.

He criticized the previous UPA government, now INDIA, for its policy paralysis and inability to make decisions. Referring to the UPA's rule, he mentioned chaos, mistrust, tussles, corruption, and various scams worth millions. PM Modi highlighted that political coalitions in India have a long history, but those based on negativity have never been successful.

The prime minister accused the Congress party of using coalitions to create instability in the country. He clarified that the NDA was not formed to expel anyone from power, but rather to bring stability to the nation. PM Modi emphasized that the NDA never disrespected the mandate of the people or sought foreign help to oppose the government. He reiterated the NDA's commitment to the progress, security, and empowerment of the nation and its people.

PM Modi also discussed poverty eradication efforts in the country, stating that significant strides have been made in empowering people. He cited reports from Niti Aayog and the World Bank, which highlighted the substantial reduction in poverty in India. According to the Niti Aayog report, around 13.5 crore people were lifted out of poverty since 2015-16. The World Bank reported that approximately 40 crore people have overcome poverty in a short period. PM Modi added that extreme poverty in India is on the verge of being eradicated according to the IMF.

In his address, the prime minister emphasized the importance of stable governance and positive politics for the development and well-being of the country. He expressed the NDA's unwavering commitment to the people and their progress, making the nation's prosperity, security, and empowerment its top priorities.
