In the northern city of Tripoli, Lebanon, a heart-wrenching incident has left the community outraged and deeply concerned. Reports emerged of an infant, believed to be around four months old, found in the most unlikely embrace of a stray dog. The baby girl was discovered by a passer-by near a municipality building, precariously carried in a black plastic trash bag. Distressed cries from the baby led to her timely rescue, as the compassionate bystander swiftly took her to the Islamic Hospital, from where she was later transferred to the Tripoli Government Hospital.

Disturbing images of the newborn circulated on social media, revealing red bruises on her innocent face. Citizens were quick to express their shock and condemnation over this horrifying incident, while some noble souls stepped forward, offering to adopt and provide a loving home for the abandoned child.

REACTIONS 

Among the reactions, a poignant sentiment emerged on Twitter, with one user writing, "Some claim that dogs are unclean creatures, but this notion couldn't be further from the truth. In this instance, the dog displayed more humanity, kindness, cunning, and intelligence than certain individuals who seem to have lost their way."

Another compassionate voice tweeted, "Animals often demonstrate more compassion than humans, reminding us of the importance of empathy and kindness in our society."

Adding to the gravity of the situation, the incident occurred on the same day as the start of the Islamic new year, further underscoring the need for compassion and protection for the most vulnerable among us.
