In a bold move, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken a firm stand against his political rivals. Targeting former state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal and other former Congress leaders, Mann questioned their shifting allegiances and political principles. Amidst commemorating the legacy of freedom fighter Udham Singh, the Chief Minister vocalized his stance on issues like price rise and disaster management, making his presence felt on the political stage.

Bhagwant Mann's Remarks on Manpreet Singh Badal

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann once again directed his criticism towards former state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal. This came after Badal was summoned in connection to the sale of two plots in Bathinda. Mann questioned Badal's political principles and accused him of switching parties, from the People's Party of Punjab to Congress, and now being associated with the BJP.

Mann's Attack on Former Congress Leaders

During an event commemorating the 84th Martyrdom Day of freedom fighter Udham Singh, Bhagwant Mann also targeted other former Congress leaders who have joined the BJP. He expressed confusion over the shifting political allegiances and questioned whether Congress members believe they can win by joining the BJP.

Mann spoke about the significance of Udham Singh's sacrifice in the struggle for independence. He recalled his visit to London, where he paid homage to the place where Udham Singh had avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by killing Michael O'Dwyer, the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab at that time.

Mann's Stance on Price Rise and Disaster Management

The Punjab CM criticized the imposition of taxes on various everyday items by the central government, including flour. He highlighted that the treasury is not empty and emphasized the need for better financial management.

Regarding recent floods in the state, Mann assured that everyone affected would receive compensation using the disaster management funds available in the state, instead of seeking additional funds from the central government.
