On Wednesday, acclaimed actor Abhishek Bachchan announced with a heavy heart that the highly-anticipated trailer of his upcoming film, Ghoomer, would not be released on its scheduled date of August 3. The decision came as a poignant tribute to the renowned art director Nitin Desai, who tragically passed away recently. In a heartfelt statement shared on social media on behalf of his team, Abhishek expressed, "As a mark of respect to our beloved #NitinDesai, we the team of #Ghoomer have decided to postpone our trailer release function which was to be held tomorrow in Mumbai. We will release it on August 4."
Notably, Abhishek Bachchan wasn't the only actor in the industry who felt the immense loss of Nitin Desai's demise. Earlier, Akshay Kumar also decided to delay the release of the first trailer of his film, OMG 2, upon hearing the tragic news. He took to Twitter to share his sentiments, stating, "Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity. He worked on so many of my films… this is a huge loss. Out of respect, we are not releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. Will launch it tomorrow at 11 am. Om Shanti."
