Combatting Modern Challenges for Young Eyes

Deputy Commissioner Dhiman highlighted the unique challenges modern times have imposed on students' eye health. Prolonged use of digital devices for online education, increased screen time, and reduced outdoor activities have led to a surge in eye-related issues among children. The campaign aims to counter these challenges effectively by conducting thorough eye examinations and delivering appropriate treatments to ensure healthy vision among the student population.

A Holistic Approach to Eye Care

The "Nirog Nazar Campaign" is set to cover 11 educational blocks within the district, encompassing approximately 1.25 lakh students. Deputy Commissioner Dhiman emphasized the holistic nature of the campaign, focusing not only on identifying and treating eye-related concerns but also on advocating for overall health among students. The endeavor aligns with the vision of nurturing a generation of well-rounded and healthy individuals.

Towards a Brighter Tomorrow

The campaign's moniker, "Nirog Nazar," translates to "Healthy Vision," reflecting its fundamental objective of safeguarding students' visual health. Deputy Commissioner Dhiman underscored that strong visual health plays a pivotal role in students' academic success. As the leaders of tomorrow, children's well-being remains a top priority, motivating continued efforts in providing comprehensive health check-ups and initiatives in the future.

This campaign is slated to continue until each and every student's visual health is evaluated, reflecting the commitment of the Red Cross Society and the National Child Health Programme.
