Reports from different sources diverged concerning the attack that occurred at Shah Cheragh. The state-run IRNA news agency stated that four people had sustained injuries, comprising two shrine workers and two pilgrims. However, the exact nature and circumstances of the attack remained unclear during the initial aftermath of the shooting.

Shah Cheragh: A Prominent Shiite Shrine:

Unfortunately, he succumbed to injuries sustained during his detention, passing away in a hospital.
