Facing a target of 198 runs set by Durham, Northamptonshire managed to chase it down effortlessly in only 25.4 overs, largely due to Shaw's aggressive innings. He received support from Rob Keogh, who contributed with a quick 42 runs off 40 balls.

Pacer Luke Procter played a crucial role for Northamptonshire, taking four wickets for 34 runs from nine overs. His efforts, along with the team's collective performance, restricted Durham to a total of 198 runs in 43.2 overs.
Shaw's recent successes follow his exceptional innings of 244 runs from 153 balls in a previous match. During that game, he displayed his remarkable striking abilities, hitting 28 boundaries and 11 sixes. Northamptonshire emerged victorious against Somerset by a margin of 87 runs in that encounter.

The Mumbai batsman, Shaw, has been striving to reclaim his position in the Indian national team. His last appearance for India was in a T20I match against Sri Lanka in 2021.
