Aniket Singh, a 24-year-old unemployed engineer hailing from Uttar Pradesh, found himself in police custody after being apprehended with 51.52 grams of heroin at a checkpoint near the BSNL Exchange turn in Sector 34, Chandigarh.
According to the Chandigarh Police, Singh had obtained the contraband from two locations - Amritsar and Janakpuri in Delhi. Interestingly, this isn't the first time Singh has been involved in such an incident. In 2022, Amritsar Rural police had also caught him in possession of drugs.

Law enforcement has booked Aniket Singh under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The case has been registered at the Sector 34 police station in Chandigarh.Aniket Singh's arrest serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against drug-related issues in various regions.
