Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently in Uttar Pradesh for the screening of his film 'Jailer,' has been actively engaged in meetings with prominent political figures during his visit. On Saturday, he met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the CM's residence in Lucknow. Following this, he held a meeting with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav at his residence in Lucknow on Sunday. Rajinikanth's visit is set to continue with a planned trip to Ayodhya.
Rajinikanth's visit to Ayodhya has garnered significant attention, especially from the chief priest of Ram Janmabhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Das. He expressed his happiness at Rajinikanth's intention to offer prayers to Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, shared pictures of his meeting with Rajinikanth on social media. In his post, he stated, "When hearts meet, people hug." Akhilesh Yadav also recalled his admiration for Rajinikanth, dating back to his engineering studies in Mysore. He expressed that the joy he felt watching Rajinikanth on screen during those days remained unchanged. The two have been friends for nine years since their first meeting, and Akhilesh Yadav reminisced about their earlier encounter in Mumbai.

Before his meeting with Akhilesh Yadav, Rajinikanth met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday and had the opportunity to meet Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. The Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, who attended a special screening of Rajinikanth's film 'Jailer,' praised the legendary actor's performance. He commended Rajinikanth for his ability to elevate the significance of a film with his exceptional acting skills.
'Jailer,' which hit theaters on August 10, has made waves at the box office, raking in ₹500 crore worldwide. The film has achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the third Tamil movie to enter the ₹500 crore club, following the success of '2.0' in 2018 and 'Ponniyin Selvan: I' in 2022. In India alone, the film has amassed over ₹263.9 crore in its eight-day total collection. The movie's success is not limited to the Tamil audience, as it has been released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
