On August 28, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant initiative, distributing over 51,000 appointment letters as part of the 8th edition of the Rozgar Mela. The event, conducted via video conferencing, witnessed the issuance of appointment letters to newly recruited individuals across various government departments and organizations. This endeavor reflects the government's commitment to providing employment opportunities and bolstering the nation's workforce.
Spanning 45 locations across the country, the Rozgar Mela is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Central government and select states/Union Territories. This mission, aptly titled the Mission Recruitment initiative, has been instrumental in extending job offers to aspiring youths on a monthly basis. The Ministry of Home Affairs orchestrated this particular Rozgar Mela, facilitating the recruitment of personnel from a diverse array of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

The recently organized Rozgar Mela under the Ministry of Home Affairs has paved the way for the induction of personnel into various Central Armed Police Forces, including prominent entities like CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), along with Delhi Police. This dynamic recruitment process has garnered fresh appointees from different corners of the nation, ready to take on roles such as Constable (General Duty), Sub-Inspector (GD), and Non-GD Cadre Posts across diverse organizations operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Addressing the recipients of the appointment letters, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of continuous learning and personal development even within the framework of paramilitary service. He urged the new recruits to embrace a mindset of perpetual growth and skill enhancement, highlighting how the knowledge acquired during courses and training programs would pave the way for them to excel in their roles as officers.
"Whatever you learn during these courses will help you in becoming an excellent officer," the Prime Minister affirmed. Furthermore, he encouraged the newly appointed individuals to prioritize their physical fitness and well-being, recognizing that maintaining good health is integral to fulfilling their duties effectively and ensuring a long and fruitful career.
